Cellophane

Organic based alternative to polypropylene. Cellophane is made from cellulose, the organic material that makes up cell walls of plants. FDA/USDA food approved. Cellulose is a barrier film that preserves aromas, keep food fresh; however it will crack if exposed to freezing temperatures. Clarity is excellent; however it will yellow with age.

Plastic

Very economical to use. Not a barrier film; therefore it does not keep odors in. Clarity is good, however it will yellow with age. FDA/USDA approved for food use. Can be sealed with a poly sealer, tape or twist ties.
